Former NFL star Brett Favre said he would listen if the Chicago Bears contacted him about joining their team for the stretch run.

The Bears have lost two games in a row after losing Jay Cutler for the rest of the regular season with a thumb injury.

Caleb Hanie has been less than impressive in place of Cutler, though the team maintains there will be no quarterback tryout.

Donovan McNabb is another name that has been floated around, but it does not appear that the Bears have any interest in him, either.

Favre has been doing a lot of hunting but also working out and staying shape in his first year of retirement.

The Chicago Bears built a big lead a couple of times but had to hold on for a 34-29 win over the Carolina Panthers.

It was all about running back Matt Forte in this one. He topped the 200-yard rushing mark and also scored a touchdown.

The Bears also found other ways to score, returning both an interception and a punt for a touchdown.

With the punt-return touchdown, Devin Hester now stands alone in the record books with the 12th of his career.

However, the Bears do have to be concerned about allowing over 500 total yards of offense to the Panthers.

Harris came out of Oklahoma as a dominant lineman who could stuff the run and rush the passer.

The team signed Harris to a big extension in 2008 even though some in the organization felt it was a bad move.

Harris was fined more than 12 times by the organization for various reasons, and he also didn’t perform on the field.

Head coach Lovie Smith said he thought it was best for all parties that they go in different directions.

Love said he felt great about the extension, just like he feels every other day on the job with the Bears.

He also said that Cutler is a tough guy, and said that he fits the persona of what a Chicago quarterback should be.

Cutler has been under fire since leaving the team’s NFC championship matchup against Green Bay with a knee injury.

The quarterback did not appear to be limping when he left the field, which angered many fans and had the media all over him.

Cutler has been the focus of a lot of criticism following the team’s loss to the Packers and his removal from the game.

Doctors say that even if the Bears had beaten the Packers, there is no way that he could have played in the Super Bowl.

The team has quickly moved in to defend him, and the coaching staff said they decided to bench Cutler.

Some of Cutler’s problem is that he makes himself an easy target because of his careless attitude with the media and fans.

It also didn’t help that Chicago saw starting quarterback Jay Cutler and backup Todd Collins both get knocked out of the game with injuries.

There was some questions raised following the game about how bad Jay Cutler’s knee injury really was and why he didn’t return.

Third-string quarterback Caleb Hanie actually played really well and almost orchestrated an improbable comeback.

He had the Bears down just seven and inside Green Bay’s 30-yard line in the final moments before tossing an interception.

Chicago raced out to a 14-0 lead after the first quarter and held a 28-0 lead early in the third quarter, putting the game out of reach.

Quarterback Jay Cutler was solid in his first ever playoff game, throwing for 274 yards and two touchdowns.

Tight end Greg Olsen only had three catches, but he made the most of them. Olsen finished with 113 yards and a touchdown on the day.

The win earns the Bears a trip to the NFC championship game, where they will host the division rival Green Bay Packers.

The Bears will host the Seattle Seahawks with a berth in the NFC championship game on the line.

While it would seem like a fantastic draw for the Bears, they did lost at home earlier in the year to Seattle.

There is no doubt that the Bears would love nothing more than to avenge that loss and reach the NFC championship game.

Weather, as always, could be a big factor in Chicago, which should be cold and breezy for the game.
